Our idea begins in Kunming, in the highlands of Yunnan, southwest China. Here, the city known as the Spring City sits within a province of remarkable plant diversity. Flowers are part of its working life as well as its beauty.
Bloom & Grit carries that meeting of tenderness and persistence into botanical keepsakes. A birthday. A new beginning. Someone you want to keep close. The story begins here; what it means is yours.

Kunming’s mild highland climate is part of the setting for its flower-growing industry. Across Yunnan, varied elevations and climates support a rich botanical world. That variety invites us to think beyond a single flower, colour or shape.
Our inspiration: colour with depth, forms with character.

Dounan’s flower trade grew from local growers bringing flowers to market. Today, cultivation, grading, trading and cold-chain logistics meet here. Behind the abundance are people who notice the details: a stem, a petal, the right moment to handle a bloom.
Our direction: thoughtful selection, one stem at a time.

Pressing brings a flower’s outline into focus. Drying reveals another texture. Preservation treatments can retain some softness. Each calls for a different design approach; each gives a fleeting bloom a new place in a book, a frame or a small object.
